Why do we dress up for halloween? If you ask that question im the one to see. It all started a long time ago when kids would dress up as evil spirits so the evil spirits wouldn't hurt them on halloween night. Around the 1930 costumes were being mass produced with costumes like gauls and movie characters. After that dressing up for halloween started and now everyone wears a costume. you probably wore one this year, your siblings, maybe even your dog. almost everyone wears a costume! costumes are very popular now after people in the 19th century wore them to prevent the evil spirits from hurting them. you probably wonder why we all say trick or treat on halloween well i'm here to tell you. It all started when homeless people would go house to house and ask for food and if they succeeded they would pray for their dead family members. But then it was being pasted to many other countries. Then wll was here and sugar was special. they gave sugar on halloween and that is where it all started. But then the trick or treat phrase. No one really knows where this originated from though. Some people say that it was just said one time and everyone else started saying it. I guess the world will never know.
Do you ever study and study but when the test really comes you can't remember nothing. The researchers of Waterloo did some research and the figured something big out. Drawing is much better for memory than writing things down. They say that instead of drawing you can draw out what you think. They did series of tests on students. They taught a lesson to students and one side of kids wrote down things on words and one did drawing. The next day they were quizzed on it. The children that drew out the things had a higher score than the kids that wrote things down!
With halloween approaching quickly people start to report more and more supernatural encounters. many people just brush off these things without giving it a thought but not Benjamin Radford. ben is a supernatural inspector, he inspects supernatural things and proves them right or wrong. One of the well known supernatural things the El chupacabra. He is not sure of if it is real or not but he does have some evidence on saying it isn't real. He believes that it might not be real, or maybe wild dogs or coyotes that are killing the farmers live stocks. He also believes maybe it is just a way of not dealing with the problems that the live stock is dying. he also will inspect video or pictures that are taken of "supernatural" things. He did a picture of the "loch ness monster". He measured how deep the water was where the picture was taken of the monster and proved it fake because it was only 3 foot deep where the "monster" was seen.
Peter Minshall was known for his artistic abilities and for the 1996 olympics he created the invention the he called tall boys. His first version of the "tall boy" had two legs. After the olympics many people made their own versions of them. Many states banned them saying they are clutter or blight. After a year or so after those olympics the novelty wore off after everyone was making them. Not all hope is lost for the tall boys/tube men/fly guys/tall inflatable things. Many farmers use the tall guys as scarecrows. This is who invented the "tall boys' and their evaluation/changes.
The college and high school sports are always evolving and they all take some physical stuff or exercise, that is why bass fishing is raising some eyebrows. Lots of people think it would be a great sport for lets say kids who don't play sports. Lots of people think it would be a great sport for lets say kids who don't play sports. It doesn't matter your weight or height so almost everyone can do it. Illinois , and Kentucky have already put in the sport and other states are in the process of putting it in. The reason not much schools have this is because they have to rent boats, get volunteers to drive and all the kids need there fishing license. Many states are almost finished with the process so hopefully bass fishing can become a sport that can be played by anyone or any school competitively.
The pinball originated from a table ball game from britain called Bagatelle. The inventor was Montell redgrave. The inventor then gave it to america so they could update it. That would become the pinball game! The first pinball games were called bingo. ballyhoo , and baffle ball. Now they have been making them larger and smaller.
